To start with, the impressive user interface makes it very easy to navigate in the program. The way in which the UI is laid out allows a user to follow a step-by-step process of editing a photo, and this starts right from opening an image file using the app to saving the edited image.

When a user clicks any of the tabs under the stages of production, a series of controls are brought up. This makes learning how to use ArcSoft PhotoImpression very easy since all the tools that are specific to a production stage are placed under one tab.

Though ArcSoft PhotoImpression is comparable to high-end image editing applications like Photoshop and GIMP, it lacks most of the features that make these high-end applications far useful.

Photoshop, for instance, has more advanced manipulation tools like layers, gradients, and the ability to support plugins. ArcSoft PhotoImpression thus remains to be a powerful photo editing app, but not quite efficient when compared to high-end photo editing applications.
